Scope of Position:

• Responsible for performing general maintenance and grounds keeping activities.

Essential Duties:

• Working under the supervision of the Grounds Managers  to resolve maintenance issues and deficiencies
• Maintains a clean job site, picks up all tools and equipment, and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards. Responsible for the proper use and storage of power and hand tools and equipment as assigned.
• Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed and brings problems to the attention of management. 
• Efficiently performs activities such as raking, site leveling, landscaping, and snow removal as required to keep the facilities & grounds safe and accessible.
• Carries out general maintenance and repairs of Cottages, Cabins and Sites (Including the performance of basic trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting).
• Assists in cleaning Cottages, Cabins, Sites & facilities as required to support Housekeeping and Grounds team members.
• Accountable for working effectively and efficiently as an individual and as part of a team
• Performs other miscellaneous tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the proper use, technique, and care of hand and power tools (saws, drills, etc.) required.
• Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License.

• High work ethic and self-initiative

• Ability to safely operate and follow company policy when operating golf carts and machinery
• Must exhibit a friendly, cooperative and professional demeanor when interacting with guests and employees.
• Must be safety conscious and work in a safe manner at all times. Must use appropriate personal protective equipment, which will be supplied as needed.
• Must be well groomed, self-disciplined and willing to comply with uniform guidelines.
• Maintains productive and respectful working relationships.
• Able to interact professionally with a diverse group of people
