Job Description:

A Reservationist is responsible for guest relations, reservations and all front desk activities.  Reservationists work closely with the Maintenance Technician and Head Housekeeper to ensure outstanding service is provided to all guests from the point of sale through departure.  Reservationists must maintain team priorities consistent with hotel objectives and company practices. 

Essential Duties:

  • Administer the reservation, registration and front desk process;
  • Keep a positive and friendly attitude towards all guests, all the time;
  • Work with the reservation team to ensure efficient check in/check out processes;
  • Ensure all policy, health and safety procedures are accurately communicated with guests;
  • Recommend changes or updates to policies, procedures and protocols;
  • Help to train and coach new team members;
  • Provide recommendations for the resolution of guest complaints;
  • Other duties as required for the efficient operation of the business, including but not limited to assisting in our Housekeeping and Laundry Departments. 

 Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Friendly personality;
  • Enjoys working with and helping people;
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, integrity and judgment;
  • Proficiency with a PC and expertise with word processing, spreadsheet and reservation software;
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of guests and team members;
  • Organized and detail oriented;
  • Able to work well under pressure;
  • Works independently and in a team environment;
  • Schedule requires working nights, weekends and holidays on a shared basis;
  • Experience in the lodging industry to include reservation, guest service and front deck operations helpful.
